Tell the police immediately and then tell your insurer.
Be prepared to wait a while in case your car is recovered. A great many cars taken without the owner's consent are soon found abandoned and can be returned to the owner, even then your insurer may well write-it off if it's been vandalised.
If your car isn't recovered, brace yourself. Your insurance company will only pay the depreciated value of your car at the time of loss - not what you insured it for. It stands to reason no matter when this happens you will be out of pocket.
You can insure yourself against this loss with GAP Insurance. Be careful though because Finance GAP insurance will not be adequate cover in this instance. The best cover would be a GAP Insurance "Back to Invoice" or "Return to Invoice".
